Killarney Park– Deer & Fern Earrings

What represents Kerry, and Killarney in particular, better than a deer wandering through the landscape?

If you’ve spent any time in Killarney, chances are you’ve caught sight of one. Perhaps standing quietly between the trees, grazing in the distance, or appearing almost magically at the edge of the woods. The deer of Killarney have become part of the character of the landscape, surrounded by ancient forests, mountains, lakes and ferns.

Our Killarney Park earrings were created to capture a little of that wild, almost mythical feeling.

Each earring is individually handmade in Kerry using a real fern, delicate moss and shimmering gold leaf, all carefully suspended in crystal-clear resin. At the base sit tiny pieces of genuine Amazonite, bringing beautiful soft blue-green tones reminiscent of Killarney’s lakes and woodland.

Amazonite has been treasured for centuries and is often known as a stone of courage, truth and harmony. Traditionally associated with calming energy and clear communication, it is believed to encourage balance and help quiet an overactive mind. Its gentle green-blue colouring feels especially at home amongst the natural elements of this design.

Nestled within each little botanical scene is a deer, creating what feels almost like a tiny window into Killarney National Park. The real fern and moss mean that every pair has its own natural variations, so no two will ever be completely identical.

Finished with elegant gold-plated stainless steel hooks, which are hypoallergenic for comfortable wear.
